Overview
- SAWS keeps an Orange Level 6 alert in force for the Lowveld and escarpment of Mpumalanga and Limpopo through Monday, warning of flooding, infrastructure damage and life-threatening conditions near fast-flowing water.
- Kruger National Park has proactively evacuated the low-lying Shingwedzi, Sirheni and Bateleur camps, moving guests to safer facilities as a preventative step.
- KwaZulu-Natal has activated a Joint Operations Centre under MEC Rev Thulasizwe Buthelezi, with Orange Level 5 and Yellow Level 4 alerts for the north-eastern areas and local rainfall in some spots expected to exceed 100 mm.
- SAWS reports 18–85 mm of rain since overnight in parts of eastern Limpopo, with persistent rainfall continuing over the north-eastern regions.
