• A Levante delegation exhumed the remains of José Ballester and his wife, Teresa Molins, in Villiers-Adam near Paris last weekend for transfer to Valencia.
• The wake was installed at the Ciutat de València, with a tribute held in the VIP box.
• Attendees included French honorary consul Karin Nylund, Spain’s regional government delegate Pilar Bernabé, provincial vice president Natàlia Enguix, and local sports and civic leaders.
• The couple will be buried privately at the Cabanyal cemetery, where they will rest alongside Ballester’s parents.
• Ballester co-founded Levante as a teenager and later served as a pedagogue and Republican officeholder before exile in France, where he worked with Editorial Quillet and the French Assembly library.
