City leaders cast the free event as a driver of downtown foot traffic.

Overview

  • The free festival runs nightly from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. through Dec. 14, produced by the Downtown SF Partnership.
  • Projections animate eight sites including the Ferry Building, Salesforce Tower and the Transamerica Pyramid Center’s first-time inclusion.

  • Opening night drew packed crowds at Harry Bridges Plaza and the Ferry Building, with remarks from Mayor Daniel Lurie, Scott Wiener, Matt Haney and other speakers.
  • Organizers cite 87,000 attendees last year and $13.2 million in economic activity, with 2025 sponsors including Amazon, Panasonic, JPMorgan Chase, Gap and Zoox.
