Overview
- Publishers reported on Friday that Letitia Wright will lead In Her Shadow and serve as an executive producer through her 3:16 Productions banner.
- British writer-director Rowan Athale is attached to write and direct the film and he praised Wright as its lead creative force.
- The picture is produced by Ed Barratt and Richard Wylie of Public Pictures, Mark Lane of Tea Shop Films, and Bankside Films producers Stephen Kelliher and Sophie Green, with Bankside credited for screenplay development.
- Bankside has started a worldwide sales campaign ahead of the American Film Market while the project remains in pre-production and no start of principal photography or wider casting has been announced.
- The official synopsis frames the film as a tense supernatural drama about an adopted child who was kept confined for years, and producers’ recent horror credits position the project to attract genre buyers at AFM.
