- Forest officials recovered the leopard’s carcass on the Nisarg Ispat Pvt Ltd campus in Ghughra, Sihora Range, late Friday after an informer’s tip.
- Divisional Forest Officer Rishi Mishra deployed a dog squad and called in a wildlife expert team from Mandla to comb the area.
- The carcass was sent with a recovered wild boar to the Veterinary College in Jabalpur for examination and cause-of-death findings.
- Investigators are examining whether the leopard was poached or if the body was transported and dumped near the factory.
- The discovery follows an October 12 case in which wild boar remains were exhumed at the same site and two company employees were suspended.
