Lemmy's Ashes Permanently Enshrined at London’s Stringfellows Club
The late Motörhead frontman’s ashes were placed in an urn behind the bar of his favorite nightclub, fulfilling his final wishes.
- A portion of Ian 'Lemmy' Kilmister's ashes was installed in an urn shaped like his signature cavalry hat at Stringfellows, a London gentlemen’s club he frequented.
- The ceremony was attended by former Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell, who reflected on Lemmy’s legacy and love for the club.
- This installation is part of the 'Lemmy Forever!' movement, which honors the rock icon by placing his ashes in locations he cherished worldwide.
- Lemmy passed away in December 2015 at the age of 70 due to prostate cancer, cardiac arrhythmia, and congestive heart failure, just days after being diagnosed with cancer.
- The urn at Stringfellows joins other memorials to Lemmy, including a statue at the Rainbow Bar & Grill in Los Angeles and keepsake bullets containing ashes gifted to close friends.
