Overview
- Old No. 6, which opened to the public Friday at noon, pairs a bar pouring official Motörhead beers and “Lemmy lemonade” with a small museum of band art and memorabilia.
- Created by IFK Legacy CIC, the venue is designed to welcome fans and raise money for the Lemmy Project, which proposes converting the Queen’s Theatre into Kilmister Halls with room for 1,500 people.
- The spot sits on Market Square a short walk from the Lemmy statue that holds a portion of the late frontman’s ashes.
- Hundreds attended the opening, where heavy metal figure Steve “Krusher” Joule cut the black ribbon to launch the space.
- Looking ahead, IFK Legacy CIC has an urban rock festival scheduled for May 22–24, headlined by tribute act Motörheadache.
