Legendary Quarterback Joe Kapp, Who Led Cal, Vikings and CFL Teams, Dies at 85

Kapp suffered from Alzheimer's disease and dementia for 15 years prior to his death.
Kapp led Cal to the Rose Bowl in 1959, the BC Lions to two Grey Cups, and the Vikings to Super Bowl IV.
Kapp advocated for Latino rights and worked with Cesar Chavez on behalf of farm workers.
Kapp's brain will be studied by UCSF researchers to determine if he had chronic traumatic encephalopathy.
Kapp also coached at Cal for five seasons in the 1980s.
