Legendary Midfielder Andrea Pirlo Named Sampdoria Manager

Andrea Pirlo has been appointed as the new coach of Sampdoria on a two-year deal.
Pirlo is a former AC Milan and Juventus midfielder who won the World Cup with Italy in 2006.
He had a one-year stint as Juventus coach in 2020-21 and was sacked in May 2021.
Pirlo was appointed as manager of Turkey's top-tier side Fatih Karagumruk SK in June 2022 but was released in May 2023.
Sampdoria will play in Serie B next season after being relegated from the top tier.
