Osgood's family confirmed that he died at his home in New Jersey due to dementia.
During his career, Osgood won three Daytime Emmy Awards Outstanding Morning Program and three Peabody Awards.
Osgood was also an accomplished musician and co-wrote a song that won a Grammy in 1968.
He is remembered for his distinct style, calm demeanor, and his signature signoff, 'I'll see you on the radio.'
