Leeds United admitted to breaching the FA Rule E21.1, which entails a club ensuring orderly behavior from its spectators during games and avoiding improper or offensive actions.
The Football Association (FA) has levied a fine of £40,000 ($48,924) on Leeds United for the incident and warned the club about future conduct.
£20,000 of the total fine has been suspended by the FA until the end of the 2024-25 season.
The fan involved in the incident was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison and received a lifelong ban from Leeds United games.
