Leeds Midfelder Aaronson Joins Union Berlin On Loan

Brenden Aaronson will spend next season with Union Berlin after joining the Bundesliga club on loan from Leeds United, the Premier League side Aaronson only joined last summer.
Aaronson moved to Leeds from Red Bull Salzburg for roughly $30 million but struggled to secure regular playing time as Leeds were relegated, leading him to join Union Berlin, who qualified for the Champions League after finishing fourth in the Bundesliga last season.
The 21-year-old American international debuted for the U.S. Men's National Team in 2020 and featured regularly for the team during World Cup qualifying.
Aaronson's older brother, Paxten, also plays in Germany, featuring for Eintracht Frankfurt.
Two other Leeds players, defender Diego Llorente and midfielder Robin Koch, have also left the club on season-long loans following relegation.
