- Dr Lee was remembered for her dedication to patient welfare and medical ethics, as well as her contributions to public discourse through her newspaper columns.
- She was diagnosed with progressive supranuclear palsy, a rare brain disease, which she revealed in 2020.
- In lieu of flowers, her family requested donations to charities meaningful to Dr Lee, including Canossa Mission Singapore and Parkinson Society Singapore.
