• Gov. Bill Lee announced that additional federal and state personnel will begin arriving in Memphis in phases starting next week.
• Thirteen agencies will participate, including the National Guard, the ATF and the DEA, to support the Memphis Police Department.
• Lee said Guard troops will have limited roles and will not carry weapons or detain suspects unless asked by local authorities.
• He has previously estimated the Guard component would likely not exceed about 150 members, though final numbers remain in planning.
