Overview

  • Corso announced his retirement in April after almost four decades as an ESPN College GameDay fixture.
  • His farewell will originate from Columbus for the Buckeyes-Longhorns season opener on August 30, 2025, airing on Fox at 12 p.m. ET.
  • This will be College GameDay’s 26th visit to Columbus and the fifth time Ohio State and Texas headline the show.
  • The location carries special significance as Corso first donned Brutus Buckeye’s headgear at Ohio State in 1996.
  • Texas blocked a proposal to shift the game to Sunday night, and ESPN has not yet named a guest picker for Corso’s swan song.
