Lee Carsley Declines to Sing National Anthem as England Manager

Carsley maintains focus on match strategy over anthem tradition ahead of debut against Ireland.

Overview

Carsley, born in Birmingham, played 40 times for Ireland and never sang anthems during his career.
His decision contrasts with former managers like Gareth Southgate, who sang 'God Save the King' with the team.
The interim manager explained he prefers to concentrate on game tactics during the anthem period.
The England squad, including players with Irish heritage, is preparing for a potentially hostile reception in Dublin.
New Ireland manager Heimir Hallgrimsson adds another layer of unpredictability to the upcoming match.
