Overview
- Head coach J.J. Redick said James will work out with the South Bay Lakers later this week after initially indicating it was happening Monday.
- The Lakers announced on Nov. 6 that James had progressed to contact basketball activity and would be reevaluated in one to two weeks.
- James is not traveling on Los Angeles’ five-game road trip from Nov. 8-15 as he continues his ramp-up from a sciatica issue.
- If his progression holds, the Nov. 18 home game against the Jazz is the earliest plausible target for his season debut.
- When he returns, James will set an NBA record for most seasons played, and the Lakers have started 7-2 in his absence.
