Leapmotor Debuts B05 Electric Hatch to Challenge VW ID.3 in Europe

The Stellantis-backed model targets a 2026 on-sale date with pricing plus core specs yet to be finalized.

  • Pricing remains undisclosed, with positioning reported as below the €29,900 B10 and under the Volkswagen ID.3 entry price in Germany.
  • Technical specifications have not been confirmed, though reporting points to the LEAP3.5 platform, a likely single-motor setup around 215 hp and battery options near 56.2 kWh and 67.1 kWh based on the B10.
  • An Ultra variant with a more aggressive bodykit is set for a formal reveal later in 2025, while the Chinese-spec show car’s roof-mounted LiDAR has not been confirmed for European models.
