Leaping Deer Damages Pickup Truck Moments Before Planned Sale in New Jersey

The incident involving a leaping deer damaging a 2007 Chevy Silverado took place in Mays Landing, New Jersey, just as the prospective buyer arrived to finalize the purchase.
The owner, Jay Vaughan, had listed the vehicle on Facebook marketplace and the interested buyer travelled from northern Jersey, stating he was interested 'as long as the body is as nice as it looks in the pictures'.
The deer, described as a six-month-old buck, leaped over two other cars in the driveway before crashing into the pickup truck, causing a significant dent.
The occurrence was captured on video which has since gone viral, showing the deer jumping around a 20-feet distance and diving straight into the vehicle.
Despite the unexpected incident, the buyer still purchased the truck at a reduced price, from the original asking price of $9,400 to $8,500, stating he got a good deal even with the 'deer dent' which he believed was easily repairable.
