Leafs Re-Sign David Kampf to Four-Year Contract

David Kampf has been re-signed by the Maple Leafs on a four-year deal with a $2.4 million annual cap hit.
Kampf played all 82 games in each of his two seasons in Toronto and was a first-choice penalty killer.
He started his career with the Blackhawks before signing with Toronto as a free agent in July 2021.
Kampf's detail-oriented defensive game and positive possession metrics at five-on-five made him valuable to the Leafs.
The Leafs believe Kampf can fill their fourth-line center role and value his reliability, despite some slip-ups in his game last season.
