Île-de-France Launches Summer Transport Maintenance With Widespread Closures

IDF Mobilités has unveiled detailed timetables with substitute bus services to guide commuters through widespread closures.

Stations fermées, service réduit... Il faudra composer avec de nombreuses perturbations dans les transports en commun parisiens cet été.

Overview

  • The southern RER B branch from Massy-Palaiseau to Croix-de-Berny will be closed July 15–August 27 with replacement buses in operation.
  • RER C will be closed July 15–August 23 on the main axis between Paris-Austerlitz and Avenue-Henri-Martin and on the Versailles-Château, Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and Massy–Pont-de-Rungis branches.
  • Major metro disruptions include line 3 closure between Opéra and Gallieni until August 3 and line 7 full closure between La Courneuve–8-Mai-1945 and Chaussée-d’Antin–La Fayette from July 18 to July 24, both with substitute bus services.
  • SNCF Transilien will deploy 20,000 buses and coaches for about 40,000 summer trips and reinforce 52 regular bus lines across 13 operators to compensate for train interruptions.
  • Nighttime roadworks will partially or fully close segments of the A1, N118, A6, A6a, A6b, A126 and sections of the Boulevard Périphérique through early August.
