Lazio Fires Eagle Handler Over Explicit Social Media Posts

The Italian soccer club dismissed Juan Bernabé after he shared photos of his prosthetic implant and gave a controversial interview.

Juan Bernabé, the falconer responsible for Lazio's eagle mascot, was fired after posting photos and videos of his penile implant on his private social media accounts.
The implant surgery, which Bernabé underwent for non-medical reasons, was described by him as a way to enhance his sexual performance.
Bernabé also appeared on the Italian radio show La Zanzara, where he elaborated on his procedure and expressed pride in his decision, showing no regret for sharing the images.
This is not Bernabé’s first controversy; he was suspended in 2021 after performing a fascist salute and expressing admiration for Benito Mussolini.
Lazio stated that the explicit content and associated behavior made it impossible to maintain their relationship with Bernabé, emphasizing the symbolic importance of their eagle mascot.
