Lawsuit Alleges Negligence in Fatal Crash Involving UGA Football Players

A lawsuit claims the University of Georgia Athletic Association was negligent in allowing a staffer to drive after drinking and led to a crash that killed two people.
The crash involved former UGA players Jalen Carter and Devin Willock, who died along with UGA staffer Chandler LeCroy.
Willock's father filed a $40 million lawsuit against the athletic association, Carter, LeCroy's estate, and others.
Carter pleaded no contest to reckless driving and racing charges related to the crash and was sentenced to probation and community service.
Documents show Carter was driving with a suspended license at the time of the crash, though he was not charged for it.
