• Captains Yannick Noah and Andre Agassi confirmed the Sept. 19 Day 1 order with Casper Ruud vs. Reilly Opelka opening the day session, followed by Jakub Mensik vs. Alex Michelsen.
• The night session starts at 7 p.m. PT with Flavio Cobolli vs. Joao Fonseca in singles before the doubles pairing of Carlos Alcaraz/Jakub Mensik vs. Taylor Fritz/Alex Michelsen.
• Day 1 matches are worth one point each under the Laver Cup format, which uses best-of-three sets with a 10-point match tiebreak if split sets are required.
• Ruud leads Opelka 4–0 in their career head-to-head, while Mensik and Michelsen meet for the first time after the Czech’s recent Davis Cup heroics and earlier Miami title.
• Cobolli beat Fonseca in a tight three-setter on grass in Halle this season, and Team World’s Opelka replaced Ben Shelton while Michelsen was also added as an injury replacement.
