Lauren Scruggs Makes Olympic History with Silver Medal in Fencing

Scruggs becomes the first Black American woman and Black out lesbian to win an individual fencing medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Scruggs, 21, hails from Queens, New York, and trains under the Peter Westbrook Foundation.
She is also a rising senior at Harvard University, studying philosophy.
