- An Oct. 1 tribute broadcast featured Dallin H. Oaks, Susan H. Porter, Gérald Caussé, Jeffrey R. Holland and Henry B. Eyring, with Oaks recalling Nelson’s final smile and describing him as a “prophet of love.”
- The church announced a public viewing on Monday, Oct. 6 (9 a.m.–8 p.m.) at the Salt Lake Conference Center and a public funeral on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at noon, with free tickets available online starting Oct. 2 at 10 a.m.
