Latest Galaxy S26 Ultra Leak Points to 3x Zoom Downgrade and a Thicker Camera Bump

A tip from Ice Universe alleges Samsung will crop a 12MP 3x sensor to 10MP with smaller pixels.

Overview

  • Ice Universe claims the 3x telephoto will use only 10MP of a new 12MP sensor with 1.0μm pixels, which could weaken low-light performance compared with the S25 Ultra’s 1.12μm pixels.
  • GSMArena reports the chassis may slim to 7.9mm at its thinnest point as the camera island grows from about 2.4mm to roughly 4.5mm to fit revised optics.
  • The main camera is rumored to keep the current sensor but gain a wider f/1.4 variable aperture for greater flexibility across lighting conditions.
  • Recent leaks point to a 50MP long periscope paired with a 12MP mid-range telephoto rather than the earlier-rumored 200MP periscope module.
  • The phone is said to weigh about 217g, and none of these specifications have been confirmed by Samsung.
