• The John Deere Classic will be contested July 3–6 at the 7,257-yard, par-71 TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois, with an $8.4 million purse and 500 FedExCup points on offer.
• Deere & Company’s title sponsorship has been secured through 2030 in a deal announced by PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan last month.
• Four players withdrew in the days before the event—Norman Xiong, Danny Walker, Aaron Baddeley and Davis Riley—opening spots for alternates such as Zac Blair, Matt NeSmith, James Hahn and Austin Cook.
• Defending champion Davis Thompson leads a reconfigured field that also excludes Jordan Spieth, Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, who have opted for rest or recovery.
• As the final Official World Golf Ranking qualifier for next week’s Open Championship, the Classic’s results will determine six additional spots in Royal Portrush’s 156-player field.
