Late Summer Sunshine in Northern Germany Gives Way to Midweek Showers

A stable high-pressure system is bringing sunny late summer conditions across northern Germany before a northbound front unleashes isolated showers midweek.

Overview

  • Monday’s late summer warmth brings morning fog that clears to mostly sunny skies across Niedersachsen, Bremen, Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein.
  • Temperatures reach up to 26 °C inland and around 21 °C along the North Sea on Monday, rising to as high as 30 °C in southern inland areas on Tuesday.
  • Nighttime conditions will be clear with temperatures dropping to 8–12 °C inland and about 16 °C on the coast, with localized fog development.
  • Winds remain light over most areas but pick up moderately along the coast.
  • From Wednesday, denser clouds are expected to move in from the north, bringing isolated showers and cooler highs between 19 °C at the coast and 26 °C inland.
