The National Weather Service has posted a short-lived advisory for northern New Hampshire due to a narrow overnight window of mixed precipitation.

  • Southern and coastal areas will see mainly rain, while northern and higher elevations get snow or a wintry mix, with southern Maine briefly starting as snow or sleet before changing to rain.
  • A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for northern New Hampshire from 7 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday.
  • Rainfall will be light at roughly a quarter to under a half inch, with 1–6 inches of snow possible in the mountains and localized pockets of sleet or freezing rain creating slick spots overnight.
  • After the system departs, temperatures briefly rebound into the 50s in southern areas Sunday before gusty winds usher in colder conditions Monday with highs in the 30s and 40s.
