Overview

• Colorado Springs police received multiple calls about the collision around 11:35 p.m. on Sept. 28 near the MLK Bypass just east of Circle Drive.
• Officers found two vehicles involved with both drivers identified as adult males.
• One driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other was hospitalized in serious but stable condition.
• Investigators have not determined whether speed or impairment contributed to the crash.
• Westbound lanes were closed for several hours for on-scene work, and all lanes reopened by 5:40 a.m. Monday.
