Overview
- LATAM Airlines Perú announced on Tuesday that it will start four weekly nonstop round trips between Cusco and São Paulo on March 29, 2027.
- The carrier published a timetable showing late-night departures from Cusco and morning returns from São Paulo with an estimated flight time of about four hours and 10 minutes.
- Peruvian ministries provided initial forecasts that the service could move around 48,000 passengers in a first stage while LATAM projected up to 70,000 Brazilian tourists a year and the potential to expand to daily flights.
- As part of the same network changes, LATAM will increase Cusco–Santiago frequencies from seven to ten weekly flights and Sky Airlines plans to add capacity on the Santiago route in 2027, which will raise competition and seat supply.
- Cusco already has direct international links to Colombia, Chile and Bolivia and the new São Paulo connection is the first direct link to Brazil, a market that supplied a notable share of Cusco arrivals in 2025 and can feed wider international traffic through São Paulo's Guarulhos hub.
