Last survivor of Tulsa Race Massacre dies at 102 as reparations fight continues

Hughes Van Ellis was one of the last three living survivors of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, which killed up to 300 Black people.
The massacre destroyed the Greenwood neighborhood in Tulsa known as "Black Wall Street."
Van Ellis and two other survivors sued for reparations but a lower court dismissed the case.
The survivors appealed to the Oklahoma Supreme Court, which is considering the case.
Van Ellis' death at 102 leaves only two remaining massacre survivors, his sister and another woman, both over 100 years old.
