• French outlets report that Léon Landini died on 21 September 2025 at the age of 99, marking the end of living witnesses from the FTP‑MOI.
• During World War II, he was arrested on 25 July 1944, tortured by militiamen and Klaus Barbie, and escaped from Montluc prison on 24 August 1944.
• In February 2024 he appeared at the Panthéon ceremony for Missak and Mélinée Manouchian, was personally greeted by the president, and insisted on keeping his battalion’s flag inside the monument.
