Overview

• Daulal Vaishnaw, 82, had been critically ill for several days before breathing his last at 11:52 AM on July 8 at AIIMS Jodhpur
• His mortal remains were laid for public homage at his Mahaveer Nagar residence and later cremated at the Vaishnaw Samaj crematorium in Kaga, where his sons lit the funeral pyre
• A former village sarpanch and respected community leader, Vaishnaw forged a long career as a senior advocate and tax consultant in Jodhpur after migrating from Jeevand Kalan in 1966
• He is survived by his wife, Saraswati Vaishnaw, and his sons, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Anand Vaishnaw
