• Deputies responded around 11:36 p.m. on Sept. 4 to an apartment in the 1200 block of Harper Avenue near Santa Monica and Sweetzer in West Hollywood.
• Security video released by the sheriff’s department shows a man entering the unit without permission and allegedly abusing the resident’s small dog, which was later found dead.
• Investigators identified the person of interest as 27-year-old Anmol Bhatia and distributed his photo to solicit the public’s help.
