Las Vegas Woman Accused of Posing as Nurse Now Faces 73 Counts in Diabetes Case

The expanded complaint stems from a school nurse’s report of suspicious insulin orders.

Overview

  • Prosecutors increased the case to 73 charges, including 17 forgery counts, 12 each for unlicensed nursing, child abuse or neglect, and furnishing a dangerous drug to a minor, plus three identity-theft counts.
  • Investigators allege she provided consultations, wrote care orders, and caused insulin and other drugs to be supplied to at least 12 children.
  • Police say she used the identities of two physicians and a registered nurse’s license number and authored at least 24 prescriptions with forged doctor signatures.
  • Officers reported finding insulin pumps, injectable medications, and both blank and completed lab orders, and say her business, Glucose N Glow, lacked a valid license.
  • Scott posted $50,000 bail with conditions restricting medical activity and contact with minors other than her children, a court appearance is set for Tuesday, and her attorney contests criminal culpability.
