Las Vegas Braces for Record-Breaking New Year's Eve Weddings

Unique 'specialty date' 12/31/23 expected to surpass single-day marriage record as Vegas Weddings fully booked.

Las Vegas is expecting a record-breaking number of weddings on New Year's Eve due to the date's unique pattern of 1-2-3-1-2-3, known as a 'specialty date' in the wedding industry.
The current single-day record for marriages in Las Vegas is 4,492, set on July 7, 2007, another 'specialty date'.
Typically, New Year’s Eve draws between 450 to 550 couples to wed in Las Vegas, but this year is expected to far exceed that number.
Vegas Weddings, a company that operates multiple venues, is fully booked on midnight and expects to wed more than 120 couples on New Year’s Eve.
To accommodate the surge, a pop-up marriage license bureau has been set up at the Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, a first for the December holiday season.
