• HBO has officially ordered an untitled six-episode, half-hour sketch comedy series on American history executive produced by Larry David, Jeff Schaffer and Barack and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground Productions.
• David will write, executive produce and star in the series while his longtime collaborator Jeff Schaffer co-writes, directs and executive produces.
• The show’s logline teases a playful twist: “President and Mrs. Obama wanted to honor America’s 250th anniversary … But then Larry David called.”
