Overview

• A major fire broke out at the disused Henley College building on Henley Road, Coventry, at approximately 7:15 pm on April 29, 2025.
• West Midlands Fire Service has deployed 15 fire engines, including three hydraulic platforms, and 75 firefighters to combat the fire in the complex five-story structure.
• Support from Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service, West Midlands Ambulance Service, and West Midlands Police has been mobilized to assist in the emergency response.
• No casualties have been reported, and all personnel are accounted for, while residents have been advised to avoid the area and keep windows and doors closed.
• The cause of the fire remains unknown, with investigations underway, as the site, long unused as an educational facility, has recently been used for filming and training exercises.
