Large Backstage Building at Magic Kingdom Reported to Be Parade Support Center

Construction crews have raised steel framing and a concrete elevator shaft behind Pirates of the Caribbean, showing a substantial multi-story project is underway.
Multiple outlets reported on Sept. 27–28 that anonymous sources describe the site as a dedicated parade support facility with rehearsal rooms, offices, Cast Member break space and expanded costuming capacity.
Central Florida Tourism Oversight District filings list the project only as the generic “MK Park 3 Support Building” and Disney has not confirmed the reported parade use or answered requests for comment.
Sources say parade costuming could move into the adjacent rehearsal building and that the parade division outgrew its existing backstage space years ago, a need that increased after Magic Kingdom restored a nighttime parade in 2025.
If the reports are accurate, the new facility would be a backstage upgrade that could make it easier for Disney to maintain current parades and give the company flexibility to add or expand productions in the future.
