Lappartient Elected Head of France's Olympic Committee

David Lappartient was elected the new president of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee.
Lappartient received 36 out of 45 votes and will replace Brigitte Henriques who recently resigned.
Lappartient is the current president of the UCI, cycling's international governing body, and he promises to stabilize French Olympic sports.
His election will not impact Paris 2024 Olympic preparations which are handled separately.
Lappartient's role as CNOSF president will be confirmed at their general assembly in September.
