Lappartient Elected Head of France's Olympic Committee

  • David Lappartient was elected the new president of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee.
  • Lappartient received 36 out of 45 votes and will replace Brigitte Henriques who recently resigned.
  • Lappartient is the current president of the UCI, cycling's international governing body, and he promises to stabilize French Olympic sports.
  • His election will not impact Paris 2024 Olympic preparations which are handled separately.
  • Lappartient's role as CNOSF president will be confirmed at their general assembly in September.
