Lapierre's Preseason Surge Puts Him in Capitals' Third-Line Center Mix as McMichael Moves to Wing

The Capitals cut six players Friday, will evaluate bubble candidates in Saturday’s game against Columbus, and must submit a 23-man roster by 5 p.m. Oct. 7 before opening Oct. 8 versus Boston.
