LAPD Seeks Help Identifying Toddler Found in Highland Park Car After Theft Attempt

The boy remains in protective custody after attempts to locate his family were unsuccessful.

  • DCFS took custody of the child, and Los Angeles County Animal Services took the dog, which officers said appeared familiar with the boy.
  • Police released a description of the child as a male with a medium complexion and curly brown hair, last seen in a light gray quarter-zip sweater.
