Overview
- Capt. Scot M. Williams said someone placed Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s body in the car’s front trunk and that the vehicle had sat for weeks before it was towed.
- Parking records show the Tesla was marked on Aug. 27, cited on Sept. 3 for the 72-hour rule, then impounded; a tow-yard worker reported a foul odor on Sept. 8, prompting the discovery.
- LAPD Robbery–Homicide served a Sept. 17 search warrant at a residence near where the Tesla was towed and seized items now undergoing forensic review.
