- LAPD Capt. Scot M. Williams said someone placed the teen’s body in the front trunk of a Tesla registered to singer David Burke, known as d4vd.
- City and tow records show the car was ticketed on Aug. 27 and Sept. 3, towed on Sept. 5, and a foul odor reported on Sept. 8 led officers to the remains.
- Detectives served a search warrant on Sept. 17 at a Hollywood Hills residence near where the car had been parked and recovered electronics and other items for analysis.
- The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has not determined cause or manner of death, and the remains were released to the family on Sept. 23.
- Burke has not been named a suspect or charged; his representatives say he is cooperating, and his tours and several commercial ties have been paused.
