Overview

• The collisions occurred around 5:45 a.m. on Oct. 5 as the victim crossed Central Avenue near 14th Place.
• Police say a dark-colored 2018–2025 Ford Explorer hit her first, then a blue SUV—possibly a 2007–2011 Honda CR‑V—ran over and dragged her.
• Neither driver stopped or contacted authorities, and both vehicles fled the scene.
• The woman was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries; her current condition has not been disclosed.
