  • A landslide struck near Junglechatti ghat on June 18 at 11:20 am, sending boulders into a gorge and killing two palanquin carriers.
  • The deceased were identified as Nitin Kumar and Chandrashekhar from Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir.
  • Three survivors, including a woman with minor injuries and two men with serious wounds, were airlifted to Gaurikund Hospital for treatment.
  • Teams from the SDRF, NDRF, local police and DDRF coordinated a hours-long rescue operation to recover the victims.
