Land Rover Revives Camel Trophy With Defender Trophy Edition

  • Land Rover has opened orders for the Defender Trophy Edition in the UK starting at £89,810 OTR and in Australia from $118,900 (NSW drive-away from $132,578), with first deliveries expected in the fourth quarter of 2025.
  • The special-edition Defender is powered by a 258 kW mild-hybrid 3.0-litre inline-six diesel and is outfitted with an Expedition roof rack, deployable ladder, side-mounted gear carrier, mud flaps, and raised air intake.
  • Local qualifiers across more than 50 countries will determine competitors for the three-round Defender Trophy competition in 2025 and early 2026, culminating in a final round in Africa in late 2026.
  • Entrants must be over 23, able to swim 50 meters, hold international travel and driving eligibility, and speak fluent English to take on driving, ingenuity, and physical team challenges.
  • The Defender Trophy will be shared online for virtual audiences and winners of the African final will join Land Rover’s partner Tusk on a conservation mission to support communities and wildlife.
