Lancaster Area Ranked Second for Postcode Lottery Daily Wins

Overview

• An analysis of 53,972 Postcode Lottery Daily Prize results from January 2019 to September 2026 placed the Lancaster (LA) postcode area second out of 120 areas for wins per 10,000 households.
• Cryptocasino.se reported Lancaster had 433 Daily Prize wins, equal to about 29.53 wins per 10,000 households, with Shrewsbury’s SY area ranked first.
• Analysts cautioned the ranking is driven by the game’s rule that selects whole postcodes and by how postcode areas and household counts are split, so any single ticket’s chance of winning is the same nationwide.
• The Postcode Lottery’s daily draw on October 30, 2026 named three North West winning postcodes—CA16 6JA, FY3 7LT, and WN8 8DF—each valid ticket in those postcodes receiving £1,000.
• The operator says it gives at least 33% of ticket sales to charities and players have helped raise about £1.8 billion to date, a point repeated in local coverage linking the game to charitable funding.
